“If you reconnect with nature & the wilderness you will not only find the meaning of life but you will experience what it means to be truly alive.” – Slyvia Dolson
Have you ever visited The Wave?
Only 20 people daily get to visit this iconic wonder in Northern Arizona. 10 people come from an online lottery done 4 months in advance. The other lucky 10 people come from a walk-in-lottery that takes place the day before you hike, right here in Kanab, Utah!
Every morning at 9am, (we suggest being there by 8:30am) the walk-in-lottery takes place for The Wave at the Grand Staircase Visitor Center-745 East HWY89. This lottery is generally next-day permitting process, which means you get your permit on say Tuesday, then hike the following day, Wednesday.
Beginning November 15, 2018 the Grand Staircase Visitor Center closes it’s doors on the weekends, meaning on Fridays the Grand Staircase office will be choosing 30 people to hike for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This means a better chance of winning one of those coveted permits!
